Mr. Robie joined Cornerstone Healthcare Properties in August 2011 as our Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Robie has over twenty years of global real estate finance experience managing the financial operations of both high-growth, high-profit S&P 500 corporations and start-up, entrepreneurial ventures. From 2008 to August 2011, Mr. Robie founded and served as managing partner of SIR Holdings, LLC, an entrepreneurial investment firm with focus on venture capital, real estate, and management consulting, and developed a business platform to acquire healthcare real estate. From 2004 to 2008, Mr. Robie served as Senior Vice President of Finance at HCP, Inc. (“HCP”), an S&P 500 healthcare real estate investment trust, where his responsibilities included managing HCP’s financial operations and coordinating all aspects of financial and strategic planning, forecasting, and reporting of financial results. Mr. Robie was also responsible for the continued development and execution of HCP’s capital strategies and served on the Investment and Executive Committees. During Mr. Robie’s tenure, HCP had a $15 billion enterprise value, $13 billion of assets under management, and over 700 properties diversified among the following segments: senior housing facilities, medical office buildings, life science facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and hospitals. From 1997 to 2004, Mr. Robie was with General Electric Company (“GE”) and its commercial real estate division, GE Real Estate, and was Manager of Finance for GE Real Estate’s North America Equity Investments responsible for managing all finance and accounting operations of more than $10 billion of real estate in three countries and supporting the origination, structuring and execution of large, complex real estate transactions. From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Robie was with Arthur Andersen LLP, where he served as a Manager in the Real Estate Services Group in New York City.

Mr. Robie graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Tufts University in 1990 and earned a Masters of Business Administration Degree, with Distinction, in Finance and Accounting from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Mr. Robie is also a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA.
